• Karine's interview

Karine from SCI France decided to join Emmet from VSI-Ireland and Michael from IVS-GB who were both taking part to the Mosney workcamp In Ireland, to run a joint Peace Messengers session.

How did you get the idea to run a joint session?

In Marly-le-Roy at the end of the PM training!! With Mike, Emmet and I, we were thinking of a potential Irish/British/French Seminar on Peace and Refugees. And Emmet shared with us the idea of offering a PM workshop in Mosney, an asylum seeker centre in Ireland, near Dublin. And we made it, not as big as a seminar can be, but as a workshop!

    Did you meet any difficulty?

None, discussions were open with agreements, disagreements, very personal experiences, and eagerness to share different point of views.

What was special about doing a PM session out of your country?

The experience of others and being in a different country set, with a very different day to day set, as living in a asylum seeker centre.

What was the best part of this experience?

Even if the PM workshop went smoothly, my best memories will remain with the Mosney Children, bits of love scattered in the field...
